Bill VanMullekom is the Executive Vice President of D3O, a leading impact protection company, where he plays a pivotal role in the company’s strategic leadership, direction, and development. He is responsible for leading market strategy development across key D3O verticals — including industrial, defense, motorcycle and sports — in order to drive growth. Prior to D3O, VanMullekom spent nearly 20 years at DuPont in a variety of engineering and commercial roles, the most recent being the Director of Business Development at DuPont.
As part of efforts to reduce the injury toll, ANSI/ISEA 138, the American national standard for performance and classification for impact resistant hand protection, was published in March 2019.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, almost 120,000 injuries to hands and fingers in 2016 involved days away from work – 13 percent of the total injury toll.
