Daniel J. O’Connell, B.Sc., CHMM, CHCM, CHST, REA, is principal engineer (Environmental Health and Safety) for SAFETRAN, LLC, a San Francisco-based consultancy. Daniel is an expert in emergency response and also serves as hazmat-rescue chief for CSRS, a municipal response agency. He is a professional member of ASSE, and a frequent lecturer for chemical manufacturing, public agencies and construction safety groups.
