The American Industrial Hygiene Association® (AIHA) has announced the results of the 2012 election for the Academy of Industrial Hygiene (AIH) Council. Council members will assume their new terms on Tuesday, October 30, at the Academy’s annual business meeting during the annual AIHA Fall Conference in San Antonio, TX on October 27 -31.
New council officers include:
- S.Z (Zack) Mansdorf, PhD, CIH, CSP, QEP, President
- Lauralynn Taylor McKernan, ScD, CIH, President-Elect
- John L. Henshaw, CIH, Vice President
- Perry W. Logan, PhD, CIH, Past President
The AIH Council also includes the following participants or their designees: the president of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, the chair of the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists and the chair of the American Board of Industrial Hygiene.
Through the council and its members, the Academy focuses on providing leadership in advancing the professional field of industrial hygiene, raising the level of competence of industrial hygienists, and securing wide recognition of the need for high quality industrial hygiene practice to ensure healthful working conditions in the various occupations and industries.
