AVO Training Institute celebrates 50 years of keeping people safe from the dangers of electrical hazards. From equipment application and maintenance procedures to safe work practices, arc flash hazard analysis and engineering services; AVO is the complete one-stop learning center. In addition to classroom lecture our difference is our hands-on approach to training. Students are required to perform tasks in equipment labs supervised by the most talented electrical instructors in the industry.
AVO Training Institute focuses on three core areas:
Electrical Safety Training
AVO Training’s Electrical Safety Courses teach both qualified and unqualified electrical personnel the dangers of electricity, and how to avoid the risks and injuries associated with electrical hazards. Our training is designed to the electrical safety standards set forth by OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, NESC, MSHA and other regulatory organizations.
Our Electrical Safety Courses Include:

Our courses are not only lecture based, but are hands-on, and a student will not pass without showing he or she can apply the techniques they have learned on actual equipment.
Our Electrical Maintenance Courses Include:
Substation Maintenance I & II
Circuit Breaker Maintenance, Low-Voltage
Circuit Breaker Maintenance, Medium-Voltage
Circuit Breaker Maintenance, Molded- & Insulated-Case
Circuit Breaker Maintenance, SF6
Cable Splicing & Terminating, Medium-Voltage
Battery Maintenance & Testing
Grounding & Bonding
Infrared Thermography, Level I
Microprocessor Based Relay Testing
