OSHA statistics indicate that there are roughly 85 forklift fatalities and 34,900 serious injuries each year, with 42 percent of the forklift fatalities from the operators being crushed by a tipping vehicle.

Those makes and others will be allowed to be imported into the U.S., even though they don’t fully comply with safety requirements, under an exemption announced recently by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
