An executive coach says when he asks senior leaders what safety means to them, many pause and say, “Well, safety means everybody gets to go home.”  What, are we fighting a war?

It’s tough to bring professionalism to a trade that actively looks to make itself look stupid.

With more experience traveling around in the real world seeing safety programs in action (or inaction) I realize that words matter.
