American Industrial Hygiene Association^® (AIHA) President Barbara J. Dawson, CIH, CSP, has released the following statement about the American Board of Industrial Hygiene's (ABIH) announcement that it has appointed Ulric Chung, MCS, PhD, as its chief executive officer.

The issue of how important credentials are for safety professionals got a bit more clarity recently, with a review by the American Industrial Hygiene Association® (AIHA) and the American Board of Industrial Hygiene® (ABIH).

The American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) will launch an information campaign designed to raise the profile of Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) by explaining who they are and what they do.
