Workers at many Georgia construction sites are participating in a safety stand-down that started today and runs through April 19th – which also happens to be National Highway Work Zone Awareness Week.
OSHA is partnering with construction contractors, the Federal Highway Administration, the state of Georgia and local government organizations in a safety stand-down hour at construction sites around Georgia during National Highway Work Zone Awareness Week, which ends tomorrow.
OSHA is issuing citations for 24 alleged violations against H P Pelzer Automotive Systems Inc. in Thomson, Ga. The agency is proposing $135,000 in penalties against the company, according to an OSHA news statement.
