Once again this year, the “Secret City” Fire Officer Conference and Safety Fest TN are bringing free safety and health training to the community, to include a conference for “those who rush in when we run out.” The “Secret City” Fire Officer Conference will be held on Wednesday and Thursday during the Safety Fest TN week, September 12th – 16th at New Hope Center in Oak Ridge, TN.

Are you a safety professional with important information about occupational and environmental safety and health (OEHS) you could share with your peers? A topic that would help them get up to date on trends, technology and best practices?

Safety Fest TN is on again! The 5th annual event will be held September 12th - 16th in Oak Ridge and Knoxville and will feature over 80 free safety and health classes, sessions and demonstrations. In addition to the free classes, a Safety Expo and Safety Demonstrations will take place on September 13th and 14th along with the “Secret City” Fire Officer Conference on September 14th and 15th.

Acclaimed author and entrepreneur John Spence will give the keynote presentation at the 2016 American Industrial Hygiene Association® (AIHA) Fall Conference, which will be held Oct. 24 and 25 at the Grand Hyatt in San Antonio, Texas.

Messe Düsseldorf will extend its worldwide occupational safety and health trade show portfolio by organizing the new INOS+H Expo from March 6 – 8, 2017 at the Vigyan Bhavan Exhibition Center in New Delhi, India. Held concurrently will be the occupational safety conference “Vision Zero” of the International Social Security Association (ISSA).

OSHA Assistant Secretary of Labor Dr. David Michaels on Tuesday, June 28, in his address at Safety 2016 outlined some of the agency’s plans.
