CPWR, NIOSH, OSHA get ready for 2016 construction fall prevention campaign

A large scale effort to prevent falls in the construction industry will have its fifth incarnation this year, and its organizers are anticipating a bigger-than-ever event.

Falls are the top cause of construction fatalities and account for 1/3 of on-the-job injuries and deaths in the industry. The Center for Construction Research and Training (CPWR), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and OSHA are continuing the partnership they began in 2012 to raise awareness of ways to prevent falls.
