“Black Lung Research in Morgantown: Impact on a Nation of Miners,” a special exhibit by NIOSH, opened at the Morgantown Museum in Morgantown, West Virginia, on October 22 and will run until December 14.
The display illustrates the contributions by NIOSH and its partners over the past 40 years in achieving progress against coal workers’ pneumoconiosis, popularly known as black lung, and their ongoing work in making further inroads against this persistent, pernicious occupational disease.
