Some 1,600 exhibitors from 55 nations have booked more space than ever before in the history of A+A, International Trade Fair with Congress for Safety, Security and Health at Work. From November 5 – 8, 2013, the exhibitors will present a comprehensive product and service spectrum regarding safety at work, corporate health, special equipment for disaster management and health at work on 652,900 square feet of exhibit space at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Two-thirds of the exhibitors at A+A 2013 are from countries other than Germany. Following Germany (306,770 square feet), the greatest demand for exhibit space came from Italy (49,500 sq.ft.), China (35,500 sq.ft.), Great Britain (34,440 sq.ft.), France (30,460 sq.ft) and the Netherlands (21,500 sq.ft.). U.S. participation is also high: 48 companies will take part, 19 of which will display their products in the North American Pavilion, organized by Messe Düsseldorf North America and supported by the National Safety Council (NSC).
For easy orientation, the exhibits are grouped according to specific segments throughout the eight halls. Exhibitors of personal protection equipment (safety) will occupy Halls 3, 4, 5, 7.0, 9 and 10 while corporate security and special equipment for disaster management products will be located in Halls 6 and 7a. This will also be the venue for the theme park “Occupational Fire Prevention and Disaster Management” (Hall 6) in partnership with the German Association of Plant Fire Services and the innovation park “Safety & Security” (Hall 7a) with live demonstrations. The A+A 2013 exhibits will be supported by a congress, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conference and special shows.
Certain aspects will move even more into focus this year at A+A. “The corporate fashion/image wear market is seeing particular growth. For this clearly fashion-focused area of work and protective clothing we will be attracting new target groups to A+A with our exhibitor range and the A+A fashion show – for instance, decision-makers from companies requiring custom-designed ready-to-wear clothing,” explained Joachim Schäfer, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf.
Against the backdrop of demographic change as well as generally increased health awareness, one classic theme at A+A is becoming even more important. “More and more companies are recognizing that corporate health management is a key success factor – as a means to maintaining staff productivity and countering both physical and mental stress. A+A presents the entire spectrum for corporate health,” stated Birgit Horn, Director of A+A 2013. This includes healthy nutrition, relaxation methods, drug prevention and fitness programs.
