Ergodyne announced today the addition of a new ice traction device to the TREX™ Footwear Accessories line. The TREX™ 6315 Strap-On Heel Ice Traction Device will be available January 2013. The unique design of the new 6315 utilizes a corrosion-resistant steel heel plate secured to the boot with heavy-duty webbing that can be adjusted for a snug, secure fit. The aggressive tread pattern of the steel heel plate greatly increases worker traction on ice and snow, yet leaves the mid-foot region open for common worker activities such as vehicle operation or ladder climbing.
“Slips and trips are serious workplace hazards, causing over 32,000 workplace injuries annually according to the latest BLS data,” said Tom Votel president and CEO of Ergodyne. “Our TREX™ Ice Traction devices are a key weapon in combating these issues and the new 6315 is another great addition to the offering.”
Traction on ice and snow is not just a daytime issue. Reflective accents on the rear of each ice traction device offer the added benefit of enhanced worker conspicuity during nighttime wear.
“Workers who need traction often find themselves in situations where they also need the mid-foot portion of their shoe or boot to remain unencumbered,” said Andy Olson, senior product manager. “The unique design of the new 6315 gives workers that freedom while still providing tenacious grip and stability where it’s needed most.”
Available in two sizes and fitting workers from US shoe sizes 5 to 16, the TREX™ 6315 Strap-On Heel Ice Traction Device will be available January 2013 at all authorized Ergodyne distributors. For more information, visit www.ergodyne.com or call 800.225.8238.
