NTSB to investigate Bronx bus crash (3/14)

A National Transportation Safety Board team arrives in New York City this afternoon to begin an investigation into a tour bus accident early this morning in the Bronx that claimed the lives of 15 people.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. when a World Wide Tours motorcoach en route from a casino in Connecticut struck a highway sign that sliced the bus from front to back along a windowline.
The 16-person NTSB team, headed by Investigator-in-Charge Robert Accetta, will analyze footage from an onboard camera that faced passengers and will also examine an engine control module that may indicate how fast the bus was going.
