Aimed at providing fundamental continuing education and training for safety professionals on a variety of key topics and emerging issues, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) will hold its annual SeminarFest in Las Vegas, NV, January 23-29, 2011, according to an ASSE press release. An intensive week-long event with over 50 educational sessions, SeminarFest 2011 will provide valuable safety, health and environmental information for the occupational safety and health professional.
SeminarFest 2011 offers a wide-variety of safety management seminars. Attendees can register for seminars as needed to complete training and earn up to 5.0 CEUs/COCs. Safety, health and environmental professionals will be able to attend seminars on a broad range of topics, including techniques for hazard recognition, occupational risk assessment, auditing, measurement and metrics workshops, becoming an effective consultant, using near-miss data for successful loss control and advanced fire prevention.
ASSE’s SeminarFest will also feature certificate in safety management seminars and certification preparation workshops including a math review and exam preparation workshops for the Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST) and the Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) exams. ASSE also offers an executive program in safety management during this educational event.
