Summit Training Source, a safety and compliance training provider in West Michigan since 1981, has partnered with Grand Valley State University to offer continuing education units to students who successfully complete Summit’s Online OSHA Approved 10 or 30 Hour training.
“The ability to take CEU approved courses online is a great benefit to the safety professional. It saves them time and scheduling issues that are associated with traditional classroom training means. We are very excited to offer this advantage to our customers,” comments Bryan Hornik, General Manager for Summit Training Source.
A continuing education unit (CEU) is a measure used in continuing education programs, particularly those required in a licensed profession in order for the professional to maintain the license. CEU records are widely used to provide evidence of completion of continuing education requirements mandated by certification bodies, professional societies, or governmental licensing boards. The records also provide employers with information on training pertinent to particular occupations. CEUs are used by safety professionals for two major professional certification requirements, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
