Aearo Technologies brands announced their new product lineup for Fall 2007 four days after the company’s acquisition by 3M was made public last November.
AOSafety® and John Deere® are partnering on a line of high-quality personal protective equipment. The familiar leaping deer trademark will be on eyewear, including impact- and splash-protective spectacles and goggles; hearing protection, including reusable and disposable earplugs and earmuffs; respiratory protection for pesticide and paint use with replacement cartridges; head protection, including hard hat and forestry kits; protective clothing, including chain saw chaps; and first aid — a 101-piece, weather-resistant first aid kit.
In fall protection, AOSafety® SafeWaze™ is introducing a site-serviceable retractable lifeline. SafeWaze ReLoad™ uses a modular design for fast in-field replacement by certified technicians. A quick visual inspection indicates whether replacement is necessary; no mechanical testing is needed, according to the company.
The Peltor® PowerCom Plus™ II two-way radio headset offers 30 programmable channels with no wires, no belt radios, and enables users to custom program channels. The Peltor® Worktunes Digital 26 AM/FM radio headset features a digital readout for instant station recognition. The headset accepts station presets to the user’s “favorites,” external input from iPods® and other MP3 players, and limits volume to 82dB for hearing safety.
E-A-R® SofTouch™ push-in earplugs (NRR 31 dB) require no roll-down, using pistol-grip handles to get a fast, clean, and protective fit.
