OSHA is now accepting nominations for individuals to serve on the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH). Nominations will be accepted for seven vacancies — three employer representatives, three employee representatives and one public representative. Members will serve a two-year term.
Any interested person or organization may nominate one or more qualified persons for membership.
The committee was established under section 107(e) of the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (40 U.S.C. 3704(d)(4)) to advise the Secretary of Labor on formulating construction safety and health standards and policy matters that arise in carrying out these responsibilities.
Nominations must be submitted no later than March 14, 2008, and should be submitted to the OSHA Docket Office, Room N-2625, U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, D.C. 20210. The phone number is (202) 693-2350.
Questions on the ACCSH nominations process can be addressed to Michael Buchet at (202) 693-2020 or buchet.michael@dol.gov.
