Construction Safety Program Affirmed (4/16)
The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) recently
announced the reaffirmation of the American National Standard Institute (ANSI)
A10.38-2000 (R2007) standard. The standard, Basic Elements of an
Employer’s Program to Provide a Safe and Healthful Work Environment,
is one of a series of standards that focus on construction and demolition
operations, and establishes minimum elements of a program for protecting the
safety and health of employees involved in construction activities.
ASSE serves as the secretariat for the A10 Accredited Standards Committee on construction and demolition operations. The A10 standards serve as a guide to contractors, labor and equipment manufacturers in the construction and demolition industry.
The standard will be available soon in both print and electronic format.
