2) Printed handouts - 82 percent

3) Off-the-shelf videos - 80 percent

4) Books - 55 percent

5) CD-ROMs - 40 percent

PowerPoint's popularity is probably due to the software's ability to meet several "critical success factors" for safety training. Seventy-nine percent of ISHN survey respondents say creative instruction is very important, 77 percent say content needs to be customized to their facility, and 68 percent want presentations to be easily changed, corrected and updated. PowerPoint can satisfy each of these needs.
