Two well-known manufacturers of personal protective equipment, Christian Dalloz SA and Group Bacou, both with global headquarters in France, have finalized an agreement creating the world's largest manufacturer of personal protective equipment, to be known as Bacou-Dalloz.

Bacou is known in the U.S. for its Howard Leight hearing protection, Uvex and Titmus safety eyewear, Survivair and Biosystems respiratory protection, and Perfect Fit gloves. Dalloz markets the Willson brand of safety eyewear and respirators, Bilsom hearing protectors, Glendale respirators and Miller fall protection, among other lines.

The new company has about 7,000 employees and 53 production sites worldwide.
