The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Foundation has established a memorial scholarship fund as a tribute to ASSE members whose lives were lost during last week's tragedy. The scholarship fund will honor those who dedicated their lives to occupational safety, health and the environment.

The Foundation is accepting donations from members, chapters, regions, corporations or any individual who would like to honor the memory of these fallen members. To donate to this fund, simply earmark the contribution "America Responds Fund" and send it to: American Society of Safety Engineers, Attn: Foundation, 1800 E. Oakton Street, Des Plaines, IL 60018.

Each year the Foundation awards funds for applied safety research, scholarships, fellowships, internships and professional development.
