The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) announced the replacement of Executive Director Richard A. Strano, CAE. The AIHA Board of Directors unanimously approved the appointment of Steven H. Davis, CAE, to serve as the acting executive director.

"The Board appreciates Steven's leadership during this transition period," said AIHA President Gayla J. McCluskey, CIH, CSP, ROH, QEP. "He has served AIHA well over the past 4-1/2 years as deputy executive director, and has more than 25 years of association management experience."

In 2003, the AIHA Board of Directors will evaluate AIHA's executive leadership and determine how to best move forward in permanently filling the executive director position.

Strano become AIHA executive director in October 2001, after nine years as executive director of the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists.
