OSHA and Tyson Foods reach agreement
OSHA and Tyson Foods have formed a five-year partnership involving a joint
steering committee to reduce safety and health problems at two of the poultry
giant's plants.
OSHA will conduct a baseline evaluation at each site (Clarksville Processing in Clarksville, Ark., and Monett Processing in Monett, Mo.) and list compliance issues that need to be corrected, along with recommended areas for improvement.
Tyson has committed to strengthening its safety and health programs and to fix any OSHA violations identified through the partnership.
