Ergo controversy in Michigan
Michigan is the only state in 2004 considering drafting an ergonomics standard, reports the American Industrial Hygiene Association. And sure enough, wherever the ergo issue surfaces, controversy soon follows. Michigan's state OSHA program says the state Ergonomics Standard Advisory Committee was created to write a standard. Industry groups disagree, claiming the group was charged only with determining if a standard was needed.
