In a recent podcast interview with ISHN, Dony, CEO, and Michelle Garner-Janna, chief experience officer, discuss the driving force behind the creation of the institute. The What Works Institute is launched in partnership with the Phylmar Group®, www.phylmar.com, an EHS best practices networking forum and training academy. The Institute is a collective of in-field and C-suite environmental, health & safety expertise — the best minds in EHS research, impact, and influence.

Dony said the decision to launch the institute was driven by a recognition of the gaps in the current EHS landscape. Dony also highlighted the need for a more research-oriented and data-driven approach to EHS. Garner-Janna, who previously served as the HSE leader for Cummins, Inc., emphasized the importance of practical application.

In addition to its training and learning offerings, the What Works Institute will also conduct research on emerging EHS issues and will work to develop new best practices and standards.
