A Kentucky sanitation worker is recovering from serious injuries he sustained last week on the job when he was struck by an SUV.
News sources say 25-year-old Sheldon Morris was pinned between a garbage truck and the SUV at 7 a.m. on Dec. 31 along a highway in Bedford. He was flown to University Hospital in Louisville after being extricated from the wreckage by first responders – a process that took approximately half an hour.
Morris has already undergone multiple surgeries and has more ahead of him, according to reports. He is expected to recover.
Kentucky State Police are investigating the incident.
