Our green story
Responsibility is a major part of the Mount Vernon FR business model—responsibility to protect both our customers and the environment:
Mount Vernon FR recycles water used in production processes through our boiler, so that we are wasting less and conserving more.
In fact, we've saved 728 million gallons of water since 2008, enough to fill nearly 20,000 swimming pools. This amount would provide the residents of Trion with water for more than five years.
Since 2008, Mount Vernon operations collectively have reduced CO2 emissions by more than 346 million kg. This is the equivalent of saving nearly 40 million gallons of gasoline.
