OSHA is investigating two workplace deaths that occurred last Thursday – in Pennsylvania and Illinois.
News reports say 38-year-old Luke Marzano was part of a crew cleaning up the site of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. headquarters – which was demolished four months ago – when he was killed in an incident. Details have not been disclosed, but Marzano, a resident of New Jersey, died from injuries to his pelvis and abdomen, according to a coroner’s report.
In Schaumburg, 26-year-old Adrian Gomez lost his life in a fatal workplace incident involving machinery. Gomez was employed by EMJ Metals, a metal supply company.
In addition to OSHA, Schaumburg are investigating the incident.
