20 exceptional firefighters to receive expenses-paid trip to the fire industry’s premier training and networking event and technology showcase.
Honeywell (NYSE: HON) and DuPont (NYSE: DD) announced today that applications are now being accepted for scholarships that will award 20 first responders with an expenses-paid (airfare/hotel/educational sessions) trip to the 2020 Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC), the fire industry’s premier training and networking event and technology exhibit. FDIC will be held April 20-25, 2020, at the Indianapolis Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN.
To be considered for the scholarship, a firefighter, emergency medical technician, paramedic or other first responder professional must be nominated by a colleague from their department. Firefighters can nominate their peer and get more information by visiting the FDIC website.

The FDIC scholarship has provided advanced training to over 100 first responders, many of whom have gone on to become teachers or leaders in the fire service. Honeywell launched the annual program in 2014 and DuPont has served as co-sponsor since 2015.
