A Hollywood motorcycle stunt that looked dangerous actually was – to the filmworkers who were executing it. A recent incident during the filming of “Bad Boys for Life,” starring Will Smith, Vanessa Hudgens and Martin Lawrence, resulted in injuries to two people and OSHA citations against their employer, Garden Films Productions LLC.

OSHA found that the Culver City-based company failed to protect employees from hazards while filming the movie. One of the employees sustained injuries serious enough to require hospitalization, according to OSHA. The other, who had minor injuries, was not wearing protective footwear while performing the stunt – which simulated a motorcycle explosion.

The incident occurred in an empty parking lot in Norcross, Georgia.

OSHA fined the company $9,500.

“People on this worksite suffered injuries because the employer failed to implement proper safety practices,” said OSHA Atlanta-East Area Director William Fulcher.
