A fatal accident yesterday in southeast Michigan claimed the life of a tow truck driver and sent five people to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to a news release from the Michigan State Police (MSP), the tow truck driver was servicing a disabled school bus that was stopped on the side of a freeway when the accident occurred at about 10:20 a.m. The tow truck driver was reportedly near the rear of the bus when an SUV driven by a woman with a suspended license crashed into the bus.
The two adults and three children who were in the SUV were in critical condition at area hospitals as of yesterday afternoon.There were no passengers in the bus at the time of the crash.
The MSP said an investigation is underway.
