Gas blast levels house, kills worker

One utility worker was killed and three others injured Sunday by an apparent gas explosion in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The four had been responding to reports of a gas odor in a residential neighborhood near Millersville.
News reports say the blast, which occurred shortly after noon, leveled one home. A resident had been evacuated from it before the incident occurred.
Nearby neighbors felt the explosion shake their own homes. One said the noise was so loud it sounded like a bomb being detonated.
The entire block was cordoned off to the public while emergency responders cleared the scene.
