Workers knocked off NYC bridge by car

Two construction workers were injured last week when a car struck the beam they were carrying, knocking them from the upper level of the Verranzano-Narrows Bridge.
News sources report that the men fell about 15 feet, landing on a protective barrier that prevented them from falling all the way to the lower roadway.
The victims were transported to a local hospital. One suffered a broken arm and the other sustained a back injury.
It was unknown if the driver was charged with a crime.
