The American Industrial Hygiene Association® (AIHA) and the Southern African Institute for Occupational Hygiene (SAIOH) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to lay the foundation for a cooperative partnership between the two organizations. SAIOH, the professional registration body for occupational hygiene in South Africa, strives to ensure healthy working environments in Africa through excellence in occupational hygiene.
The collaborative partnership is for technical cooperation in several areas within industrial and occupational hygiene (IH/OH), including the exchange of scientific information and publications and the identification of opportunities for transferring and promoting knowledge and findings in the field of occupational health and safety. AIHA and SAIOH will also work together to identify IH initiatives that may present opportunities for joint collaboration such as training courses, seminars, and conferences where workplace safety and health are proactively addressed.
For more information, see the MOU on AIHA's website.
