Pelican Products, a leading manufacturer of high-performance protective case solutions and advanced portable lighting systems, has appointed Rodney Davis as Director of Worldwide Environmental Health and Safety.

With more than 20 years’ experience in environmental health and safety, Davis will be implementing, coordinating and championing Pelican’s Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program across the global organization.
Prior to joining Pelican, Davis held environmental, health and safety positions with leading companies that include Yusen Terminals at the Port of Los Angeles, Georgia-Pacific, Mattel, Landis Plastics and Vikase Corporation. With diverse plastics experience, he has overseen environmental, health and safety activities at facilities in Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Chile, Brazil, China, Malaysia and Indonesia. Additionally, Davis has led successful ISO 14001 certification efforts and is responsible for several facilities receiving the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) star partner designation with CalOSHA.
Davis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety & Risk Management from Indiana State University and a Master of Public Health in Environmental Science and Epidemiology from Indiana University. He is a member of the National Safety Council and the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).
