On April 17, Brasfield & Gorrie was recognized by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Alabama at their Safe Day awards banquet in Birmingham. The contractor earned four honors for its exceptional safety program and performance. The firm received the Diamond Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Award, the highest honor ABC bestows on members for their safety efforts. The awards also included a first-place Safe Day Eagle Award, an Innovation in Safety Award and a Fleet Safety Award.
“As our top corporate value, safety is ingrained in our culture and habits,” said Brasfield & Gorrie Corporate Safety Director Troy Ogden. “These incredible accolades are a direct result of everyone working together to create injury-free environments at our jobsites, offices and homes.”
In addition to being the premier general contractor recognized for its safety efforts, Brasfield & Gorrie received the Innovation in Safety Award for its Utility Strike Prevention Program. This program emphasizes safe practices for working with underground utilities.
