A Michigan man was killed at a dairy facility in Coopersville Saturday night by a truck driver who did not see him.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, 57-year-old Ronald Hart had just unloaded a trailer at the Continental Dairy loading duck. He did not see Michael Yell, who was standing on the passenger side of the semi-truck, between the cab and the rear wheels. When Hart moved his truck forward, he struck Yell, who suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
This accident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Department.
